So Today…

I ran out of coffee last night, and tried to get to the store before they closed but sadly, I did not make it. So I was a zombie at work. My body does know know HOW to work without caffeine. lol

Today I bought this months issue of Oxygen magazine because Fern is in it!!! Lindy Olsen is on the cover. Now I stopped buying Oxygen magazine because I wasn’t all that thrilled with it, but this new issue in which Lindy is now the New Editor is great! I really like this issue. Check it out!

This next weekend we have been told is going to full on and were going to be boxing! So I went to get some carb powder and bought these:

They only had black or pink so of course I had to get pink :P I also bought a pair of hand wraps.
Last night I practiced box jumps and I actually did it. It was a fear thing , fear of oh… smashing out my front teeth, or taking my legs out at the shins haha. The next time I go back to that gym I want to be able to do it. I am the only girl in the class, and I hate them having to modify things for me lol.

So anywho I have a chest workout waiting for me, so I need to eat and take some Superpump. I bought Dan a Max’s protein cookie to bribe him to workout with me :P OMG have you tasted these? I am not allowed to eat them lol. Try a Titan bar if you can, (if your not prepping for a comp) they are HEAVEN and only 7g. of sugar compared to Maxs 23g. :S

I am still up in the air a little between WordPress and Blogger. I really like the follow feature on Blogger, and the way you can put pic, vids or anything on the sidebar anyway you like, I also miss how the most recently updated blogs are at the top. So I go to my Blogger blog to read all your blogs lol.

How Cool Is This!?

I had a great day. The more I learn in this course the more I realize Tony is spot on. I learned more about nutrient timing, not just the what to do but the why, now I see why Tony has me do the things he does and the importance of it.

They also took us to a fight gym! The video I posted below, thats the type of training they do there! We walk in and there are not weights and machines everywhere, although they did have a squat rack and a bench, but instead there were huge tires, and boxes of varying heights, kettlebells, medicine balls, rings, bars to swing from, matts against the wall and huge thick ones on the floor. We did a bunch of plyometric stuff and let me tell you …LOL… this shit isn’t easy!

I discovered I am terrified of jumping up onto a low platform! WTF? Now I am determined to be able to do this. So for now, he had me jumping over tires, laying on our backs and throwing medicine balls up fast as we can to our partner who is standing over us who then drops it and we have to catch and throw it up again fast, I missed once lol and got the wind knocked out of me.

We did push-ups were you clap between each one, hit tires with sledgehammers did get ups with medicine balls, and ladder work. It was awesome and man what a great way to kill yourself workout LOL.

I plan to do some of this each week on my own. My view of fitness is expanding, its not just about lifting weights, and strength, but speed, agility, coordination, and rythym. My goal isn’t just to look fit, but to actually be fit enough to do this stuff.

Plus this is great stuff to do at home and still get a great workout in, thats why my home workouts have been kicking ass so much more then my regular gym workouts, Tony has added a bunch of plyometric stuff and I am not used to it! My chest strength has improved , I can now do 12 proper push-ups, lol not a lot, but for those of you who have been reading a while, you may remember The Push-Up Challenge I did, and I never really got any better. I could do like 3 then. :P and they weren’t very good. The bodybuilders Tony has me do like 3 sets of 20, so yeah ab strength and chest strength have improved.

More and more I am wanting to start gathering stuff for home so I can have a kick ass workouts at home, or go to the gym, I still love the gym of course but its great to have different options. Training should never be boring! :D I can’t wait for tomorrow!
